Skills and attributes
Kheldra has no classes. You raise skills by using them, and your character level earns attribute points that add to your six stats. This page covers how skills level, what each attribute does, and how respecs work.

Skills
There are 18 skills. You raise a skill by doing the thing it covers, and the Skills window (press L) shows each level and its progress. The groups are:
- Combat: Melee, Archery, Defense
- Magic: Destruction, Restoration, Necromancy, Summoning
- Craft and nature: Enchanting, Taming
- Gathering: Scavenging, Mining, Forestry
- Industry: Farming, Smithing, Alchemy, Logistics
- Support and economy: Healing, Trading
Skill XP comes from the activity itself. Fishing and scavenging grant Scavenging XP. Each spell cast grants XP to the spell's school skill (see Spells). Jobs, cooking, deliveries and trade routes grant XP to their own skills.
- Skills reach level 1000, spells level 500 and character level 5000.
- Characters, skills and spells all follow one XP curve. Level 5 takes about one hour of active play, and each level after it takes longer than the one before.
Enchanting gear
Enchanting skill also lets you imbue worn gear from the Enchanting window. Each worn piece holds one enchant: Keen Edge (melee weapons), Far Sight (bows) or Warding (armour and shields). There are five tiers, unlocked at enchanting levels 5, 15, 30, 50 and 70.
- Cost: mana tincture, crystal ore and other materials (higher tiers add binding ink, a catalyst such as ember ash, frost shard or grave dust, and a soul shard) plus a gold fee of 10 to 250.
- Success starts at 55 to 75 percent at the required level and rises 2 percent per level above it, up to 95 percent. A failure burns the materials and fee but never harms your gear or an enchant already on it.
- A higher tier replaces a lower one. Unequipping or swapping a piece strips its enchant.
- Success earns enchanting XP (10 to 50); a failure earns a third of that.
Character level and attribute points
Your character level comes from character XP. Each level you gain adds attribute points:
- Every level from 2 up: 5 points per level
Points you are owed are added the next time the stats board is read, so a character levelled before a change still receives every point. When you gain a level, a message asks you to press C. The Skills page shows a banner while you have unspent points.
To spend points, press C for the Stats window. Use +1 or +5 beside an attribute to stage points, then press Confirm. Cancel clears the staged points. Confirmed points are kept.
The six attributes
Every attribute starts at 10. Points you add sit on top of that base.
- Might: +1 melee power per point.
- Agility: +1 ranged power per point.
- Vitality: +8 maximum health per point above 10. It also sets armor (half your Vitality, rounded down) and adds 0.1 health per second of regeneration for each point.
- Intellect: +3 maximum mana per point above 10.
- Spirit: +2 maximum mana per point above 10, plus 0.12 mana per second of regeneration for each point.
- Perception: widens how far away gather nodes are listed on the Map tab. The list starts at 4 steps and grows by one step per point. Hover or tap the attribute name to read the tooltip.
Health and mana both start at 100. Your maximum health and mana change at once when you spend points on Vitality, Intellect or Spirit.
Respecs and respec tokens
A respec refunds every spent point, so you can spend them again. A respec needs a respec token. The Stats window shows your token count and the next level that grants a free one, for example Respec tokens: 1 ยท next free at level 50.
- Tokens come from reaching levels 15, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000, one token for each of those levels.
- When you have spent points and at least one token, the Stats window shows Use respec token. The game asks you to confirm, because the token is spent.
- A respec with gold is not available on this build. The respec call accepts only a token.
