Stalls and market
There are three ways to trade in Kheldra: buy supplies from merchants, sell loot back to them, and trade with other players through the Exchange or a stall. This page covers each one and the limits that apply.

Merchants
Merchants are NPCs with a shelf. Each shelf sells one fixed bundle at a fixed price, such as 5 wooden arrows for 1 gold or 2 iron ore for 10 gold. Shelves sell basic supplies: bandages, potions, ore, logs and arrows, among others.
- Stand within 2.5 steps of the merchant, with a clear path to them.
- You can buy up to 100 bundles in one purchase. Arrows can be bought in bigger amounts, up to the shelf's stock.
- Stock is shared by everyone who shops there. Merchant stock refills every 60 seconds.
- If the price changes while you are buying, the purchase is refused and the game shows the new price.
- You cannot trade while dead, on an assignment, or inside a dungeon.
Selling loot to merchants
- Use the Sell loot tab. Each item has a set buyback value, shown in the window.
- Arrows and other ammunition cannot be sold back. Goods with no set value sell for the minimum, 1 gold.
- In the current build, merchant sales carry no fee.
The Exchange
The Exchange lets players sell to and buy from each other. It trades 25 bulk goods, such as ore, ingots, lumber, planks, salt and leather.
- A listing sets a unit price from 2 to 100,000 gold, for up to 100 units. Listed goods are held until sold or cancelled.
- A buy order sets the price you will pay. Its gold is reserved until the order fills, expires or is cancelled.
- Each character can have up to 8 open listings. The Exchange holds up to 500 listings in total.
- Listings and buy orders last 48 hours. When one expires, reclaim it to get back the unsold goods and any deposit.
- The Exchange fee is charged when a sale goes through, and it comes out of the seller's proceeds. The default is 2 percent, with a minimum of 1 gold. The preview shows the exact fee before you confirm.
Player stalls
Player stalls are shopfronts inside South Market. There are two fixed stall spots.
- Stall kit: you need a Market Stall Kit to place a stall. Crafting one at the workshop needs Trading level 12, 4 planks, 2 cloth and 2 nails.
- Rent: 250 gold for a 30-day lease.
- Renewal: the lease renews automatically when you have the gold. If you cannot pay, the stall closes. Your inventory and sale proceeds are kept, not forfeited.
- Sales fee: 5 percent of each sale.
- Listings: up to 4 displays per stall, each up to 100 units at up to 100,000 gold.
- From the stall you can collect proceeds, cancel a display, or release the stall.
